okay, so i thought that waiting until 6:45 was good enough to go running with the tobster. apparently not. it wasn't blazing hot, but it was very humid, and i felt bad for the little dude. he's wearing a fur coat that he can't take off, afterall. so, the run was all about him. i made sure that we ran 99.9% on the grass and trails, and we also stayed in the shade as much as possible. i also made him run slower than usual, and if he felt like slowing down or stopping, then we did. we did 1.75 miles or so, which was nice. then i let him take a long dip in the stream, which he loved, of course. there weren't that many other doggies there, but he had a great time jumping and splashing in the water. i contemplated joining him, but i was wearing a white shirt and white sports bra. draw your own conclusions. overall this was a relaxing little run. yay!
toby's going to be the fastest dog at the VA fun run. excellent.

Yeah, my run at 6:30 was a tad warmer than I would have liked. However, the flowers were so beautiful!! Lilacs are blooming and they're on my running route. Lovely.
I was arriving at Shady Grove Metro about that time. It was nice out. I promptly got in my car and drove unkowlingly into a backup on 270. D'oh!
